5 Sea Veggies You Should Be Eating
Eat your vegetables, they're good for you! We hear that all day long. But have you ever thought about eating sea vegetables on a regular basis? Ah! There's a question to ponder for a few minutes. Sea vegetables (seaweeds) are actually very important to your health and wellness and have a booming array of nutrients that are not evident in your typical everyday veggie. With sea vegetables you have better energy (without anxiety), thyroid and hormone balance, better hair, skin and nails, and improved blood flow and circulation support. But the benefits don't stop there......
There are thousands of sea vegetables in the world. Here are 5 very important ones to consider adding to your diet:
Dulse: Very high in vitamins and minerals, especially vitamins B6, B12, A, Iron, Potassium, Phosphorus, and Manganese. If your digestive system has been on the fritz lately, this seaweed heals your gut and encourages regular elimination. Cleanses the body of heavy metals and fights viral infections. Is very high in iodine so it helps your thyroid function properly and enhances and repairs the liver.
Kombu: Also known as kelp, is another rich source of organic iodine your body needs. Two minerals that Kombu carries are calcium & iron, so if you're deficient, this is where you'll find it (naturally sourced, not synthetic store-bought variety). Kombu has been known to purify the blood, alkalize, chelate (heavy metal removal), detoxify, aid in weight-loss and supply the body with antioxidants.
Bladderwrack: Is high in many important vitamins, minerals and B-complex vitamins. Bladderwrack works wonders at slowing down the progress of arthritis and hardening of the arteries. Stimulates the thyroid gland, dissolves stubborn cellulite and hydrates chronic dry skin conditions. Very effective at drawing toxins from the body.
Sea Lettuce: High in iron, protein, calcium and vitamin B12. Sea Lettuce resembles actual lettuce but turns brown when cooked. It contains an abundant amount of chlorophyll which is a great detoxifying aid for the entire body. The benefits of this seaweed span from improving the quality of your hair, skin and nails all the way to preventing cancer.
Rockweed: Also high in naturally sourced chlorophyll and one of the best seaweeds out there to balance and boost the body. As a tonic, it will detox your body after a stressful week or even stressful lifestyle. Full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, this seaweed is so versatile - it can remineralize the body while paying close attention to your skin, rejuvenating your complexion for a younger and smoother appearance.
Supplementing with Potent Sea Vegetables (which has all 5 of these beneficial seaweeds) can help promote longevity, youthfulness, energy, thyroid health and over-all well being. You'll not only feel more radiant but you'll look more radiant too. Ocean veggies are just as important as regular veggies, if not more!
