Neem Oil: An Excellent treatment for Acne

Acne Sucks! Plain and simple.  But what sucks even more is trying to find that one perfect product that will help cure your acne once and for all.  Am I right?

How about on those nights when you spot treat with that popular benzoyl peroxide formula (a spot here, a spot there, spot, spot, spot) only to wake up looking like a block of Parmesan cheese.  Ewww!

Put down that tube and turn your sights this way; toxic ingredients only worsen those acne flare-ups but herbal remedies actually help soothe them away.  What am I talking about?  Well, neem oil of course.

Neem oil has been around for ages.  The bark, leaves, fruit, seeds and oils all contain medicinal qualities and all of it is beneficial at healing acne-prone skin.  It has anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, analgesic (for relieving pain), anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.  Neem contains very high levels of antioxidants (known for circumventing free radical damage that can harm the skin), carotenoids (gives skin that radiant glow), high in fatty acids and vitamin E.

Neem oil is a fabulous alternative to those awful irritating spot treatments because it's all natural and has the ability to remove bacteria from the surface of the skin much better than those toxic chemical-laden products.

Another wonderful quality to neem is that due to the high fatty acid content it holds, it also prevents and treats scarring (we all know that acne never goes without leaving it's mark behind) with Neem your acne can be a distant memory.  Neem is also a great non-abrasive exfoliate and when used as a mask, it actually draws out those toxins and poisons from your skin and tightens your pores.  Amazing huh?

Best way to start using neem is cleansing with an all natural Neem Soap. One of my favorites is:

This soap has AMAZING healing affects for the skin especially since it has neem, coconut oil, sunflower oil, Aloe Vera and oatmeal.  Sounds good enough to eat and believe me your skin will love it!

Next step in your quest to heal your acne is to follow with Neem Oil.  A very pleasant and high quality neem oil I love and have had great results with is:

This particular neem oil is splendid for acne.  Can be diluted with olive oil or coconut oil and cotton swabbed over the skin and also taken orally under the tongue.  Excellent oil! 100% natural organic Neem Oil.

Also, what I love as a weekly treatment for acne is masking.  I love using masks to heal and regenerate the skin, and non-toxic natural organic masks are the best bet for that.  My favorite Neem Mask is:

This mask is truly lovely.  It's loaded with neem, french clay, Eucalyptus and Rosemary to promote clear and healthy skin every week you use it.  Ideally you can use this mask about twice per week, any more often than that will lead to dry skin, so easy does it.  But it shrinks those acne bumps and increases blood circulation to the skin.  I absolutely love this stuff.  It's also gluten-free.

Removing dead skin cells doesn't just apply to the face, it's also extremely important to treat the body with Neems glorious healing properties.  The Neem Body Polish is moisturizing, soothing and exfoliating.

Each time I use this, I just feel like my skin is breathing; it's well-nourished, smooth and hydrated.  Especially after a sweaty work-out, I love using this to sloth off that dead skin and see bright beautiful skin underneath emerge.  If you use self-tanners, this is great to use right before applying for a more even application.  Wonderful!!!! Smells divine too.  Contains no sulfates, parabens, or Phthalates.

Follow with Neem Body Lotion for added moisture.  Excellent from head to toe.

Lastly, its important to purify your body from the inside out by detoxification and neem supplements can help you achieve that.  Organic neem cleans the blood as most acne is the result of toxic blood.  Your breakouts are just your bodies way of saying, "Help me".  Neem Supplements go hand-in-hand with your beauty routine.  Treat the inside just as you would the outside--with special attention.  My fave Neem Supplement is:

Don't let acne ruin your life.  I never did.  I overcame it by doing research on natural ingredients and herbal treatments that actually WORK.  Neem oil is one of those wonderful wonders that have stupendous results when used daily and consistently.

Also make sure to drink lots of clean pure alkaline antioxidant water, it's known to transform ordinary tap water into alkaline mineral rich water.  It will remove acidity in the body and clear up skin and body ailments.  (A favorite of Beyonce Knowles).

  3. As they say, there are no one-size-fits-all. This is also true when it comes to anti-acne regimen. You will need different products that address different skin issues. There's the cleanser, toner, moisturizer, exfoliant, and other topical and oral products you can use to make your skin blemish-free. But just be careful with what you use. They might cause more harm than care if you don't identify what your skin needs. Well, I hope yours has been working miracles for you. Thank you for sharing!
