Kool Kiwi-licious Smoothie
When life hands me kiwi's by the bundle, I make kiwi-licious smoothies. A pulpy drink like this makes you feel like you need to carry a spoon in your pocket just in case the straw can't stand up to the job, but not in this case - it can totally hold its own since this smoothie is just the right consistency. The attractive bright green color of the kiwi married to the equally bright and gorgeous pineapple makes for a very healthy and pretty to look at thirst quencher.
Kiwi's and pineapples help with digestion, they each have their own protein dissolving enzymes that move toxins out of the intestinal tract. Kiwi's boost the immune system and create alkaline balance in your body. This green grenade is also very safe for diabetics (hi dad) thanks to their low glycemic index. So drink up!
Ingredients:
2 kiwi
1 green apple
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
1/2 cup spinach
1/2 cucumber
1/4 cup water
Juice from 1/2 lemon
Ice
Directions:
Blend everything together in high-speed blender and enjoy!
